Good morning everyone. It is an incredible honor and privilege to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. I’d like to thank all of my family, friends, and fans who have supported me and been a part of this amazing journey. I would also like to thank my wife Nathalie, for her unwavering love and support throughout my entire career. I’d also like to thank my parents, who have been a huge part of my success. Their dedication to my development and growth as a hockey player was unparalleled, and I am forever grateful. I would also like to thank the Penguins organization, and especially former owner, Mr. Edward DeBartolo Jr., for taking a chance on me when I was drafted in the mid-1980s. I am also grateful to the players, coaches, and staff that I had the privilege to work with throughout my career. I am also thankful to have had the opportunity to play in the NHL, and to have had the chance to play in front of some of the most passionate hockey fans in the world. My time spent in the NHL was some of the most enjoyable years of my life. I’d also like to thank the Hockey Hall of Fame for recognizing my accomplishments, and for the opportunity to be inducted into this prestigious institution. I am forever grateful for all of the opportunities I have been given, and for the amazing support I have received throughout my career. Thank you.

He revolutionized the game with his skill, leadership, and dedication both on and off the ice. His legacy will continue to live on for generations to come, and his impact on the game of hockey is undeniable.
